I’ve had a few people ask me about which altissimo fingerings I use, and I’d like to share them with you here. I discovered these partially by trial and error, partially from books, and partially from other players.
The hardest part for me with making the transition from normal register to altissimo was finding a good G# that sounded right, and was comfortable to get to from above and below. The one here has worked well for me, and also produces a cool-sounding split tone fairly easily.
